Electrical Apprentice

Looking to begin a career as an electrician? Come join our Electrical Apprentice program and join our team of skilled electricians who will train you.

As an Electrical Apprentice you will train under the supervision of a licensed electrician to learn and perform various electrical tasks. Responsibilities include assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment. You will learn how to read blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to understand electrical systems. A good electrician apprentice should be willing and able to learn quickly. You will need to learn from oral instruction as well as observation. An electrical apprentice should be confident so that they can start working on more jobs independently as time goes by. By the end of the apprenticeship, the electrician apprentice should be able to lay out, assemble, install, test and repair electric fixtures.

This includes work in residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational and government buildings. Duties include installing or replacing wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers, and other components. Our electricians are capable problem-solvers who troubleshoot electrical issues, handle repairs, and communicate with clients to establish job details and related costs. Skills and tasks include:

Understanding Blueprints: ability to read and apply technical diagrams and blueprints.
Using Tools: use devices like ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, and cable testers, along with hand and power tools.
Installation and Replacement: install or replace wiring, lighting fixtures, and other electrical devices.
Inspection and Maintenance: inspect and maintain electrical systems in homes and businesses.
Adhering to Regulations: follow state and local building regulations.
Documentation: Complete work orders on time and document the work completed and materials used.
Collaboration: Work with other electricians, general contractors, architects, and team members.

Reviewing building plans: They analyze blueprints to understand the electrical needs of different projects.
Assessing material costs: Estimators calculate the costs of materials required for the project.
Determining contractor and labor needs: They consider the workforce required for efficient execution.
Calculating job profitability: Estimators assess potential profits a project can yield.
Preparing and submitting bids: They create competitive bids based on their estimates.
Maintaining cost databases: Estimators keep track of cost-related information.

Manage large and challenging electrical construction projects from preconstruction through completion while maximizing profitability.
Oversee all construction operations, planning, design, pre-fabrication and budgeting tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage Critical Peake Electrical Services’ safety policies and standards to maintain a high level of safety excellence.
Develop and maintain client relationships through strong performance, communication and productivity while identifying future opportunities for repeat business.
Continuously meet project schedule and client expectations
Work collaboratively with Critical Peake’s electrical staff to establish weekly project schedules and manpower projections.

Qualifications/Requirements:

5-7 Years of electrical project management experience.
Proven experience as an electrical construction manager
A deep understanding of electrical construction project management principles, procedures, and materials.
